A small set of free font tools and reference pages for people who make things with letters — cut files, stickers, shirts, planners, printables — and for people who sell them.
- What it is
- Browser tools that turn text into cut-ready lettering or read font files, plus short reference pages about font licenses, file formats and Creative Fabrica’s plans.
- How it was made
- With the help of AI. An AI assistant wrote most of the code and drafted the text. Facts were read from primary sources and each one on a page links to its source.
- Who runs it
- The site owner, who is a Creative Fabrica affiliate. “We” on these pages means the site owner; there is no editorial staff, no expert panel and no author persona.
- How it pays for itself
- Some pages link to Creative Fabrica. If you buy something after following one of those links, Creative Fabrica may pay the owner a commission. You pay the same price. There are no ads, no sponsored posts and no other affiliate programs. Affiliate disclosure
Who it’s for
Crafters working with Cricut Design Space, Canva or a home printer, and small sellers on Etsy, print-on-demand platforms or Amazon KDP who need to know whether a font can go on something they sell.
What the site does not do
- It does not test on machines. Cut files are calculated from font outlines. None of them has been cut on a physical Cricut, Silhouette or laser, and pages say “calculated, not machine-tested” where it matters.
- It does not give legal advice. License pages summarize public terms in plain English. The license that comes with a font or asset is what counts, and the rights holder is the one to ask.
- It does not rate or review products. No star ratings, no “best of” rankings, no testimonials. Comparisons put published facts side by side.
- It does not collect your data. No accounts, no cookies; visits are only counted, anonymously. Files you open in a tool are read by your browser and never uploaded. Privacy
- It does not sell fonts. The tools use 33 open-source font families from the Google Fonts collection, licensed under the SIL Open Font License or the Apache License 2.0. The lettering tools link to each font’s license file, which is served from this site next to the font.
Where the facts come from
From the license texts, terms, pricing and help pages of the companies involved — not from other blogs, forums or AI answers. Every fact shows its source and the date it was last checked, and the pages are re-checked about every three months. How facts are checked
